Rehabs Phoenix

Rehabs Phoenix privacy notice

What our policy protects

This notice describes what our helpline gathers when someone calls about Phoenix rehab listings and how that information is used. This site is an independent guide, not a treatment provider. We don't diagnose anyone, and calling us does not establish a patient relationship.

We publish information about SAMHSA-listed programs in the Phoenix area and staff a free helpline answered by treatment advisors. That means we hold limited personal details, and we want you to know exactly what they are before you decide to share anything. The sections below walk through each part in order.

What we collect when you call

We collect only what you choose to give us: typically a first name, a phone number, and any details you volunteer about insurance or your situation. We ask for a name and callback number so an advisor can reach you if the call drops.

Insurance details are optional. If you share them, an advisor can check which funding a program accepts, but you can decline and still get general information. Anything you say about your situation, such as how long someone has been drinking heavily or which substances are involved, is optional too and stays with us unless you ask to be connected.

Collecting only a first name, phone number and optional insurance details keeps our Phoenix helpline privacy simple and gives you control over what is shared. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, payment card numbers or medical records, and you should not send those to us.

How we use your information

We use your details to answer your questions, check which programs might fit your insurance or budget, and follow up if you ask us to. Nothing else.

When you describe a situation, an advisor may outline levels of care in general terms, like outpatient or residential settings. If a person drinks heavily or uses benzodiazepines, we may note that a medical team should watch over withdrawal and that a program offering detox support is worth discussing. We do not advise on tapering or dosing, since that is the role of a clinician who has evaluated the person.

Using the details you share only to answer questions and check coverage options is the whole purpose of collecting them on this helpline.

When we share details with providers

We share your information with treatment providers only when you ask to be connected to a specific program. That connection is your decision, made on the call, and you can stop at any point.

When we do connect you, an advisor passes along the name, callback number and the insurance or situation details you agreed to share, so the program can respond. From that point the provider's own privacy practices apply, and it is fair to ask them how they handle your records. We do not sell or rent information, and we do not share health details with advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Passing contact and insurance details to a program happens only after you ask to be connected during the call. If you would rather call a provider yourself, an advisor can give you the number instead. We cannot promise admission, coverage or any particular outcome, and connecting you does not guarantee a bed.

Recording and retention of calls

Some helpline calls are recorded or logged for quality and training, and a recorded call can be reviewed by supervisors. We note this at the start of the call so you can decide whether to continue.

If you prefer not to be recorded, tell the advisor and ask for a call that is not recorded, or end the call and use the written information on this site. Retention is kept to what we need for follow-up and quality checks, and we delete details on request.

Retention stays limited to follow-up and quality review, and you can request deletion at any time by contacting us through the address below. Emergency calls are different, since 988 and 911 handle their own records under their own rules.

Health information and how to reach us

We do not sell health information. This site does not run a medical practice, so the federal health privacy rule that governs hospitals and clinics does not apply to us in the same way; we follow this notice instead.

If you believe something we hold is wrong, or you want it deleted, contact us in writing and describe the call and the approximate date. We will confirm what we hold and correct or remove it. For questions about how a specific program handles your records, ask that program directly before you share anything further.

Writing to us with the call date lets us find and correct or delete your details promptly. You can also ask an advisor on the call to explain any part of this notice before you share information.
